Teach Back Reflection:
1)What you've learned from completing this assignment;
First, I learned how to use the powerpoint or slide show without the help from other people. Second, I learned how to upload the power point to slide share net software. Third, I learned how to help ESL students improved their reading comprehension through the five stages such as Phonics awareness, vocabulary development, fluency achievement and reading comprehension. Each stages have a lot of games activities and software for students to practice. However, the only problem I found from completing this project was that I did not read the instruction carefully which I assumed was to develop a powerpoint. Therefore, I spent a great amount of time completing this assignment doing a lot of research.
2) What would you do differently if you did this assignment or used this software again?
I would read the directions more carefully before I begin with the project.I will use this software to complete this assignment because this software is very useful which can uplaod slide show at once.
3)Tell how this topic or software would be useful in a classroom.
This topic is very interesting and useful in the classroom curriculum. Most of the students are English as a Second Language Learners helping them build their reading comprehension skills. This must be the most challenging task for a teacher. This project can be used as a learning center in the classroom to help students developed their reading comprehension skills.

Flat Stanley Project Reflection

For the Flat Stanley project, I work with Nora and Corin at San Antonio Elementary School Catherine's 3rd grade.

_Our lesson plan was based on a series of writing activities that they needed to complete before we sent off student's Flat Stanley friends. On the first day, we introduced ourselves. We explain about the Flat Stanley friend to students.We instructed students how to create their own Flat Stanley friends. On the Second day, we instructed to write their first draft about their Flat Stanley friends. On the third day, we instructed students to correct and revised and expand their writing. On the fourth, we instructed students to correct and revised their writing. On the fifth day, we instrcted students to make the final draft writing of their Flat Stanley Friends so that we could sent out the writing to their friends from other parts of the world. However, students keep tracted of their journal entries about their advantures with their friend and relatives from other parts of the world. Students were able to browse through Flat Stanley website to look at different schools that they participated in the projec. Students showed them pictures of Flat Stanley tour around the world. We have students used Google earth to view Saipan and other places in the world. During the Peace Builder ceremony, we danced with the students. Students clipped and attached their Flat Stanley Friends on them. We were able to video the event.

_The experience that I gained from working with these 3rd grade students was wonderful and something that I will always cherished. I was suprised to see students bringing their flat friend home,interact with them, and write about them as a real friends. I was able to get to know and learned about these kids. I felt very ashamed when I saw how they write their journals. They can write better than me. I am so proud of them. There were willing to work with our group to complete this project.

_ The only problem for this project was that some students have not recieved a letter from their friends and relatives. The Students were always asking me when thir letter or packaged arrived . I felt guilty. If I will do this project again, I will communicate with the school and teachers before we sent the package to them. In this situation, students will definitely get a response.

_ This project was a great learning experience for me. It provides a lot of opportunities for me to learn from my teamate and to observe how the teacher interact with their students. It gave me an idea when I am in the classroom. The most important thing is that this project really gets the students motivated and interested because they get a chance to work with other students from other parts of the world. and the fact that they will have treasure that has travel around the world.

Flat Stanley Puzzle

1) This project exhibits how teachers can use technology and infuse it in the curriculum, instead of just teaching Excel as stand-alone software. Give some thoughts/ ideas about using software in context of teaching subject areas instead of just teaching software separate in a computer lab.

- I think using software content of teaching subject area instead of just teaching the software along is an excellent idea. Teachers should use computer software to intergrade in their lesson plan. They should use the software to make lesson plans, puzzles and other activities to make learning fun. The fact is that students love to use computers. They love to do new activities and explore new ideas in the software.

2) Why it is important to keep parents informed about what is going on in your classroom?

- There are several reasons that we should let the parents know what is going on in the classroom. The first reason is that parents have their right to know what go ing is on in their child’s classroom. Second, parents involve is part of the learning system. Third, they can give more support to the teachers and students and school. We must always remember that students + teachers + parents = successful.

3) Do you think this project would help students to learn to use Excel and to learn vocabulary?

- Yes. This project really can help students to learn to use excel and learning vocabulary at the same time. This is the first time in my life do puzzle in excel. This is an excellent idea. I learn how to use excel by create a puzzle. This is amazing. If I will be come a teacher some day, I will teach my students to make puzzles and explore excel.

4) What would you do differently next time?

-The next time if I do this project again, I will not put the word inside the puzzle. I like this project. It’s fun and easy to easy.

1) Tell what features you like and why.
Web.2.o is the most interesting software that I have never tried . It contains the Resolved Question software,Security software, Computer Network software, the encyclopedia and Tim O'reilly software. Among all the softwarse, I think that the best software is the computer network software. In this section, I can post all my questions about the computer in a column and wait for someone to answer it. Also, the computer network can improve my computer skills. For example :"I learned how to use a computer in a safer version just by reading other people's responses."
2) Provide some ideas or features that you think would impove Editgrid.
I think Editgrid should provide more options and style of grading books for people to select instead of one type of spreadsheet. Also, Editgrid should have a grade- book for attendance, projects, performance, math, language art, science, and social studies.
3)Tell why you think this software would or would not be useful for classroom teachers.
Web 2.0 is a very useful software for teachers, because it contains computer network softwares where students can learn their computer skills. At the same time they can develop their ideas about computers.Furthermore, the problem solving software will provide opportunities for students to think more critically of their questions and they will have a response for other peoples' questions. In addition, teachers can use Editgrid to record a student's homework, grades, projects and attendance. Also, teachers can use this tool to monitor each of the students' progress and provide specific guidance for each student to succeed.
4)Tell why students and/or parents would like this online gradebook software, or why not.
I think most of the students and parents would prefer online gradebook because of accuracy and clarity . The fact is that parents do not want to see their child's grade incorrect. Therefore, online grading is the best tool for grading a student's progess. Also, online grading system will provide easy access for parents to check their childs' progress.

The most important concept of this project is to encourage children to learn about the culture of Thailand and connected to their lives. There are two reasons that I chose this topic. First reason is that Thailand is a very interesting country. Second reason is the culture of Thailand. I have a lot of interesting friends from Thailand.
I like this project because it provides a lot of opportunities to improve my computer skills and to learn how to work with other people which is very important.
The most important thing that I learn from this project is to gathered informations, posted in the web-base, and published on the weblog. It makes my work easier. However, I will use the same software.

Mind Mapping

i 1) Talk about the project concept or characterization you chose for this project. Why did you choose this idea? What is the learning outcome or expected goal of your mind- map. In what way will this mind-map improve your students learning of the concept or characterization?

The concept of my project is about the components of a computer. The components of the computer is divided into two parts which is the body and soul. The body is the hardware and the soul is the software and all the programs that it contains. The reason why I choose this idea is because I want to learn more about computer. I love the use of computers, but technology is always a puzzle for me. I had always try to avoid the use of computer, but now I decide to learn the computer skills to help me to improve my education and to prepare to becoming an effective teacher. This project can help students to organize their thoughts and knowledge of the computer and to improve their basic computer skills.

2) What did you think was the most important lesson you learn from this activity?

There are several things that I have learn from this project. The most important thing I learn from this project is to transform the idea in my mind in to a diagram in the computer. This is amazing, but I did it. I think this is important because I can apply this idea into my lesson plan when I become a teacher.

3) What did you like or dislike about the software or web-based online mind-mapping tool you used?

I like the web-based online mind-mapping tool because it gave me some idea of what I am going to do. One thing I dislike the web-base is that I can't find what I am looking for and it is very difficult to log in.

4) What did I do differently next time you do mind-mapping and/or use this tool?
The next time if I do the mind-mapping again, I will do it in the software and save it into my desktop and send it to my web log.
